Act3 Edge is the learning branch of Act3 Media Productions — a creative and educational initiative dedicated to empowering individuals in their "third act" of life and beyond. We’re proud to offer a growing suite of short, practical, and inspiring courses that meet learners where they are — in community, at home, and online.
Our courses are designed for real people with real goals — whether you're looking to build a side hustle, boost your confidence with technology, or explore your voice in media and storytelling. Each course is affordable, approachable, and taught from lived experience.

I'm Cathy Holmes, founder of Act3 Media Productions and Right Choice Educational Programs and Tutoring Services. I’ve spent over 35 years supporting international students through language coaching and exam preparation, including as a District Director with Beaver Dam Consulting, working in partnership with Right Choice Ed. My background also includes serving as Past President of the Nanaimo Seniors Services Network (NSSN) and contributing to community programs through Volunteer Nanaimo and various other senior programs on Vancouver Island.
With deep experience in radio and TV, and a lifelong commitment to education, I’m passionate about empowering learners to thrive — at any age, in any stage.
***NOTE: Act3 Media Productions gifts the community programs seen on both Rogers and on CHLY 101.7 FM. They are community driven and run solely by our volunteers and are not for profit.
